Turley Pick Up Party: "Birds of Prey"
I have been a member of Turley Wines for about three years now. Turley is mainly known for their Zinfandels and their Petite Syrahs, but beware, they are also known for their long waiting list to become an allocation member! They have a lot of other great wines, which are not always the easiest to find and thus, why it’s advantageous to be an allocation member.
Another nice perk is that they host a wine pick up party for their club members twice a year, in fall and spring, held at their Paso Robles and Amador County locations. The most recent party fell on Halloween, and the theme of the party was "Birds of Prey."
Another added bonus to the pick up parties is their offerings of a few select library wines for sale. We’ve picked up a few great magnums, which are not normally available.

It was very cool because they did indeed have live birds of prey throughout the party! An Indonesian Owl, a Screech Owl, a Harris Hawk, and an American Bald Eagle, all just hanging out with us at the party. Pretty cool. The Screech Owl was my favorite- so adorable!
